Infinite Jewelry Designs founder and designer, Susan Frith Sagrera discovered her love for making jewelry quite by accident. She was a co-room mom for her oldest daughter’s 8th grade class and was nominated to design and create a keepsake necklace for each of the graduating students. Designing began in October of 2010 at her dining room table. Pearls, leather, religious medals, findings, everywhere. She was bitten by the jewelry-making bug and even had some early success selling her designs to locals in her hometown of Abbeville, LA.
Not long after she started designing jewelry she was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia and was taken from her family and sent to MD Anderson in Houston, Texas. Life changed dramatically for the Sagrera family when she was told she would possibly have to be there for up to 2 years. Her daughter packed up the chaos in the dining room and brought it to Houston on their first trip to visit their mom. Infinite Jewelry Designs was then relocated to a hospital room, creating and shipping out orders from the 16th floor at MD Anderson. Seven months later she was able to return home, healthy and cancer free, and at that time set up shop in her garage. Her husband Scott, built her a large work bench and the designing and creating continued.
In February of 2019, Infinite Jewelry Designs moved out of the garage and into a newly remodeled studio which is located on family property behind her home. Word has spread, customer base has grown tremendously, and people have found their way to IJD. Whether it was in her garage or presently in her studio, each one who has come or will come is greeted personally and with cordial gratitude. It is in this setting that strong and lasting customer bonds are developing, those on which this company continues to grow and build upon for nearly a decade and many more decades to come.
